Introduction

Who am I?

Hi, I’m Wrenne. I’m a musician, as well as a computer science student at PJAIT in Warsaw, Poland.

I have a couple ongoing musical projects, the two most notable being my solo one, the slow, mellow and shoegazing Wrenne Claude, and the often uncompromising noise rock band I’m in, Allarme, where I play the electric guitar and sometimes do vocals.

My interests include:

  • Music
  • Computer Science
    • Object-Oriented Programming
      • Java
      • C++
  • GNU/Linux
    • Programming in C
    • How the Linux kernel works
    • Nature of Open Source software
  • Libre Software
    • Internet privacy and freedom
  • Linguistics
    • Etymology, history…
    • I can speak 3 languages fluently:
      • ๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ฑ Polish
      • ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง English
      • ๐Ÿ‡ซ๐Ÿ‡ท French
    • And it is my dream to know these one day:
      • ๐Ÿ‡ฉ๐Ÿ‡ช German
      • ๐Ÿ‡ฏ๐Ÿ‡ต Japanese (currently learning)
      • ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ช Irish Gaelic

What is this for?

This website used to be a draft for a portfolio+blog hybrid kind of thing I wanted to have, but it didn’t really work out. Now it’s going to be my little hobby blog that will hopefully play the role of a self-improvement tool, which I will probably explain in depth in a future post. Right now I’ll say that I need some sort of motivation to get over a couple obstacles in my life.

I don’t think this blog will be consistent in any way. I’ll write about my progress in college, my solo musical work, or the stuff I do with Allarme. I’ll share thoughts on topics I’m not too knowledgeable about, create tutorials, flex a home sever setup, and so on…

I hope I’ll be able to accumulate a solid documentation on my own life, so that I’ll be able to look back at this site in a far away future, laughing at how dumb I was / currently am.
